👩‍🍳 Ingredients

For 2 people:

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small chopped spring onion
  • 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  • 200 g drained kimchi
  • 100 g diced spam
  • 2 bowls of pre-cooked (and cold) rice
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons kimchi juice (to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon gochugaru
  • 2 fried eggs.
  • Sesame seeds
  • Gim seaweed

🔪 Preparation

  1. Prepare the ingredients. Drain the kimchi, cut it into small pieces, and set aside the juice. Dice the spam and chop the onion.

  2. Heat the oil. In a frying pan or wok, pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and heat over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the onion. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add the garlic and kimchi. Add 2 teaspoons of crushed garlic and the drained kimchi. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes to mix well.

  5. Add the meat. Add the diced meat and mix for 2 minutes to coat with kimchi.
  6. Add the rice and juice. Stir the cooked rice into the pan, then pour in 3 to 4 tablespoons of kimchi juice to add flavor. Sauté for 3 minutes.
  7. Season. Add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce, 2 teaspoons of toasted sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon of gochugaru. Mix well and sauté for another 1 minute.
  8. Serve. Divide the rice into 2 bowls.
  9. Garnish. Add a fried egg on top of each bowl, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and add pieces of gim seaweed.
