Shinode rice is a high-quality short-grain rice, perfect for Korean cuisine. This rice is known for its soft and sticky texture, which makes it the ideal accompaniment for many Korean dishes – in short, the perfect rice to ensure you don't run out of "Bap" or cooked rice.
Shinode rice is grown in Italy. This rice is sorted and polished to remove impurities and obtain smooth, uniform grains.
This versatile rice can be used for many Korean dishes, such as bibimbap and gimbap, of course. Its sticky and soft texture makes it perfect for rolling sushi or preparing onigiri.

How to cook short-grain rice without a rice cooker?
For proper cooking, I recommend washing the rice 2 to 3 times (until the water becomes clear), rubbing the grains between your fingers in the water to remove some of its starch.
Place it in a saucepan and add about one and a half times the volume of cold water. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to a boil. As soon as you feel it boiling, reduce to medium heat for 10 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it rest for another 10 minutes without lifting the lid!
