These sweet potato noodles, known as dangmyeon, are similar in shape to vermicelli, but with more chewiness. They are thin and transparent, which allows them to perfectly absorb the flavors of the ingredients they are cooked with. These noodles are very important in Korean cuisine, especially because they are essential for preparing the famous Japchae noodle dish.
Usage tips:
Allow 100g of noodles per person. Cook the noodles for 6 minutes in a pot of boiling water until they become transparent, then drain and rinse them with cold water before adding them to sautéed vegetables and soy sauce.
