O’Food Ssamjang is a ready-to-use Korean seasoning paste, made from a balanced blend of doenjang (fermented soybean paste) and gochujang (chilli paste). This combination offers a deep flavour, both salty, slightly spicy and rich in umami.
Essential for Korean barbecue (samgyeopsal, galbi), ssamjang is traditionally used to garnish a lettuce leaf in which grilled meat and rice are wrapped. Its structured taste adds depth without overpowering the other ingredients.
The 500g format is ideal for regular use or for shared meals.
How to use Ssamjang?
Ssamjang is ready to eat, no cooking required.
Place a small amount on a piece of grilled meat, wrap it in a lettuce leaf with a little rice, then enjoy. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for raw vegetables, grilled vegetables or fried dishes.
Store in the refrigerator after opening.
