Discover the famous fermented chili paste essential to Korean cuisine. Although it is often called gochujang sauce or Korean hot sauce, it is a Korean condiment used to season dishes, sauces, or marinades. Slightly sweet and spicy, it adds flavor to your recipes. Use it to prepare traditional dishes such as Jjigae, Tteokbokki, or Bibimbap, as well as to make marinades and dips.
Tips for using Sempio Gochujang:
This condiment, a hallmark of Korean cuisine, is used in a great number of Korean recipes. You will need it to make your Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), your sauce for Bibimbap, your sweet and sour sauce to season Korean fried chicken (Dakgangjeong), and many other recipes.
For simple everyday use, I recommend gochujang mayonnaise. Mix 100g of mayonnaise (ideally homemade) with 1 tablespoon of gochujang and a minced garlic clove. Sprinkle with gochugaru flakes, and serve with raw vegetables or cold cuts.
Sold in a 500-gram jar, this gochujang hot sauce is a must-have for all Korean cuisine lovers.
