This fish sauce is one of the main ingredients for making kimchi. Don't be put off by its very strong smell; its taste mellows during cooking, fermentation, or even when mixed with other ingredients.

This fish sauce was not produced in South Korea, as it is very difficult to import Korean fish products, but it is perfectly suitable for recipes that call for fish sauce.
