This perilla oil is the lightest in the Bangyudang range. Produced from carefully selected and pressed perilla seeds in Korea, it retains the plant's natural aroma—a subtle herbaceous note, similar to shiso, with a slight vegetal flavor. Rich in omega-3, 100% perilla, available in 100ml and 200ml.

How to use this perilla oil

Unlike other oils in the range, it can withstand gentle cooking. It is ideal for sautéing fried eggs or cooking jeons—Korean pancakes made with vegetables, seafood, or meat. Its natural flavor pairs well with simple ingredients without overpowering them. As a finishing touch, a few drops on steamed vegetables, white fish, or a cucumber salad are enough. Mixed with doenjang, it forms a simple and flavorful dip for raw vegetables or fish. Outside of Korean cuisine, it complements raw vegetables, fish carpaccios, or a light vinaigrette.

Bangyudang has been producing sesame and perilla oils since 1972, initially in a small neighborhood mill, and now with refined expertise and a constant demand for perfection in roasting.

The range comes in four levels of roasting: P1 (perilla, light and fresh), S2 (sesame, mild and nutty), P3 (perilla, rich and round), and S4 (sesame, roasted and intense). Each oil corresponds to a culinary style, from delicate dishes to strong seasonings.
