Dasida Korean Beef Flavored Bouillon is a staple ingredient in many Korean recipes. This powdered seasoning blend adds depth and umami to your soups, sauces, stews, and stir-fries.
It contains a balance of salt, garlic, onion, soy sauce, black pepper, spices, and vegetable proteins to mimic the taste of beef broth, without requiring long cooking times.
Developed by CJ Foods, it has been used in Korean households since 1975 and remains one of the most popular seasonings for its ease of use and culinary versatility.
How to use Dasida?
Beef Dasida can be used as a broth or a dry seasoning:
- 🍜 Add 1 teaspoon to 500 ml of water for a quick soup base (ramen, doenjang jjigae, kimchi jjigae...)
- 🍲 Incorporate into your stews (braised beef, galbijjim) to intensify the flavors
- 🥢 Also perfect in a vegetable stir-fry or a homemade bibimbap
- 🍚 To flavor rice cooking water or Korean porridge (juk)
- 🧄 Pairs very well with kimchi, tofu, and mushrooms
💡 Tips:
- Sprinkle directly on sautéed vegetables or grilled meat.
- Use sparingly: the flavor is concentrated.
- Store in an airtight container after opening to preserve the flavors.
